Directly coupled filter/catalyst units are suitable for the catalytic afterburning of hydrocarbon components (VOC). The advantage here lies in the provision of the optimum temperature for catalysis already before the filter. A costly cooling and reheating of the gas is thereby avoided.
In these modular units, catalyst poisons from the the raw gas are bound at process temperature via entrained flow dry sorption and separated at the filter.
